Poetry Month 2013 - Day Two

I said I wouldn’t pay attention to you
I have too many other things to do.

But when’s the last time I paid attention to me

I’m taking my girls out for pancakes and tea.

We’ll sit at the table and honor our pen

as it stories the page to find an interesting end.
